Custom vs Made To Order

Although both Custom and Made To Order builds are very similar in meaning and both are built from scratch, we differeniate the two by a few different factors:

Made To Order:

These are bars/builds that we have listed as an option but may be out of stock or you may want that particular style in a different size and/or color. We have certain sizes listed that qualify for the made to order builds. Sizes not listed are considered custom and will fall under custom pricing. Please note that Made To Order pricing follows our standard MTO pricing guide and not sale pricing or the pricing of Economy bars. All MTO builds are built to our Premium quality whereas Economy is our “scratch and dent” category.

Our MTO sizes include: 4ft, 5ft, and 6ft and each having countertop depths of either 20 inches, 24 inches, or 30 inches. Outside of these options is considered a custom build.

Our available stain options are listed but any color that can be ordered can be used. Any color not listed would be considered custom. Certain stains, such as black and white, require multiple coats so there is an additional charge for such stains.

Custom Builds:

Custom builds are more of an “Off Menu” project. Where MTO builds are a standard build that we have listed, a custom build would be adding an aspect (or aspects) that we don’t have listed. This would include things like building to a size that isn’t listed under the MTO menu, building a specific shelving area for a drink cooler, a uniquely shaped bar (doesn’t fit into our standard, L, or U shaped bars), or any other aspect that isn’t in the normal realm of what we build. Additional charges may be applied to custom builds. Once we have all the details, we can generate a quote for you.
